Baumert is now ISO 19443 certified, the international standard for suppliers and subcontractors in the nuclear industry
In 2018, the nuclear industry adopted an international standard: ISO 19443. It applies to suppliers and subcontractors of products or services important for nuclear safety. It defines the fundamental quality requirements of nuclear power in terms of operational control, safety culture and skills.
In addition, its objective is to align the entire nuclear industry on the same benchmark of excellence. Since 2022, certification bodies under COFRAC accreditation have been able to carry out certification audits according to ISO 19443 and assess the robustness of practices in the nuclear sector.
Baumert was audited in 2024 to assess its compliance with these new requirements and obtained ISO 19443 certification on 1Er August.
